This year the event will take place at Festival Hall on November 29th, and will be presented by activist, award-winning writer, musician and speaker Pam Rocker. We are excited to have a special performance from SNAP, a Calgary based studio for gender and sexually diverse Calgarians to engage in the performing arts. Our long-standing supporters at the Calgary Men’s Chorus will also be setting the tone for a fantastic evening with their uplifting choral talents.
The event will include live music from Sargeant & Comrade. The band played at Sled Island and Folk Fest and is excited to entertain the Community Voices participants with their jazzy beat.
December 1st marks World AIDS Day, it also marks the beginning of Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week. World AIDS Day is an opportunity to show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to pay tribute to those we have lost to AIDS-related illnesses. The Calgary Tower and Reconciliation bridge will be illuminated in red to demonstrate solidarity and support for this international campaign.
Show your support for those living with HIV and remember those lost to AIDS-related illnesses.
